Diana Vickers has praised Danyl Johnson for his audition on Saturday night's X Factor.
Last year's semi-finalist wrote on her Twitter page that she had been impressed by dance teacher Johnson's performance of 'With A Little Help From My Friends' on the series opener.
Vickers said: "Looks like I'm gonna have to watch The X Factor after all! Lets see how this goes down.
"Eeeeeeeek. Teacher man was awesome... that's about it!"
The singer had previously said that it was "surreal" and "strange" that the reality talent show had come around so soon.
Judge Simon Cowell described Johnson's performance as "single-handedly the best first audition" he has ever seen.

Diana Vickers has admitted to feeling "strange" at the return of The X Factor.
The singer told GMTV that time had gone by quickly since she was eliminated from the show in last year's semi-final.
Vickers said: "It's really strange, it's so surreal that it's all coming back round again, watching the adverts on TV, it really freaks me out.
"But it's exciting stuff, I can't wait. It's gone so quickly, it's just unbelievable, it's like a whirlwind."
Speaking about her upcoming stage role in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, she continued: "It's great. It's such an amazing play by Jim Cartwright and I'm working with the most amazing people for the show. I'm just so lucky that I've got it."
Regarding her debut album, Vickers added: "It's going so good. I'm working with great people again - a producer that's worked with Bjork, Madonna and so many credible artists.
"It's got a good mixture of everything and I'm so excited. I've written most of it and co-wrote everything, so it's really cool."

X FACTOR finalist Diana Vickers looked a little worse for wear as she celebrated her 18th birthday in London over the weekend. The pretty blonde was joined by her fellow contestants on the ITV1 show, Ruth Lorenzo and JLS.
But on the way out of London's 24 nightclub, she stumbled into her taxi with her girlfriends and even flashed her pants.
JLS are still riding the wave of success after their Number 1 debut single, Beat Again, clung on in the singles chart's top five this week.
Maybe a special rendition left Diana a little shaky in the knees...

Former X Factor star Diana Vickers has confirmed that a track from her highly-anticipated debut album has leaked onto the internet.
The song, called 'Jumping Into Rivers', appeared on several file-sharing outlets last week. A statement posted on her official website claimed that the source of the leak was currently being investigated.
Writing on her Twitter account, she said: "Guys, so my track has been leaked. Sucks, but nothing I can do about it. I hope you like it! It was the first song I wrote for my album!
"Unlike what a lot of people have been saying, it was never going to be a single or anything But, it's a good summer tune so enjoy!"
Vickers, who finished fourth in last year's competition, recently announced that she would be making her West End debut in a revival of musical comedy The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice.
