DISCOGRAPHY
The Boy Who Murderd Love Charts.
Gotta admit, it's not great news, as The Boy Who Murdered Love, Diana's brand new single has trailed in at #36, which, following on from a #1 single is rather disappointing. Every cloud has a silver lining however, and this is no exception as Diana's debut album Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree returned to the top twenty, going in at #13.

I hope everyone continues to download the single and album.

Chart update!
Okay, so first of all Diana's album re-entered the charts today at #42, which after being at the lower end of the 70s for quite some time is a massive achievement. The single is now at #59, which isn't too great, but the single is now available officially NOW. Please go out download and physically buy the single this week, and get Diana back into the top ten.

Diana compares herself to Bambi...
Diana Vickers has revealed that she has learnt a lot about fashion since her rise to fame.

The singer admitted that she relies on a stylist to select outfits for her but reverts to looking "scrubby" when she is at home.

"I'm like Bambi, staggering about learning to walk in heels, but I'll get there," Virgin Media quotes her as saying.

"Like most 18-year-olds, some days I wake up and I hate my chubby cheeks or my bum and then my stylist will come along like a fairy godmother with an amazing frock.

"I'll have my hair and make-up done and I'll see myself in the mirror and say, 'Ohhh, aren't you a bit of a sexy one?' Then after the show I'll head home, wipe off the slap and go back to being Scrubby Little Vickers."

Earlier, Vickers said that she was not well suited for The X Factor, but applied to "be noticed".

I just wanted to be noticed.
Diana Vickers has said that she only entered The X Factor "to be noticed".

The 'Once' singer, who finished fourth on the talent show in 2008, told the Daily Mail that she would not have been a good winner of the contest.

Vickers said: "I never expected to win The X Factor, I just wanted to be noticed. Of course, by the end I wanted to stay in the house with the other contestants because after 12 weeks together we'd grown close.

"But I don't think I was suited to the role of winner because I want - I need - to do my own thing, and writing songs takes space and time."

She added of her younger days: "I loved performing and I knew that was what I would do. I recently found a diary from when I was seven in which I'd written, 'I went to a party and everyone was dancing and singing, but I was the best'.

"I sounded like a right princess, but I put the hours in, doing tap and ballet and playing the trumpet and piano. I also learned singing and would imagine what it would be like to have a number one."

Lorenzo is like my big sister!
Diana Vickers has claimed that fellow X Factor singer Ruth Lorenzo is a "big sister" figure for her.

Vickers and Lorenzo finished fourth and fifth respectively in the 2008 series of the ITV1 talent show. The 'Once' popstar claimed that she was still in touch with her co-star, as well as series five runners-up JLS.

"I made great friends at that time; Ruth Lorenzo, who is now working as a singer, has become a very important person in my life," Vickers told the Daily Mail. "She's 27 and acts like a big sister.

"Then there’s JLS, who are like brothers to me; they're all attractive boys but I couldn't imagine anything more ever happening. My friends are huge fans and keep asking to meet them, but I’m terrified that someone’s heart would get broken, so I’m steering well clear of matchmaking."

Speaking about her time on the reality show, Vickers also revealed that she had found it hard not to stare at Simon Cowell when she was performing.

"It was edited out of the programme, but Cheryl [Cole] kept asking me, 'Why are you looking at Simon the whole time?'" she said. "But I couldn't stop myself, because he's very charismatic, so in the end I just shut my eyes

Vickers: Fame is a bitch.
Diana Vickers has claimed that fame can be "a bit of a bitch".

The singer, who finished fourth on The X Factor in 2008, admits there are perks to being a celebrity, but interest in her private life annoys her.

"A lot of the time you just want to sing and for people to just be interested in that, and that only," she told Bang Showbiz.

"But I mean, you've got to accept that everything else comes with that and to be able to do what I love and sing, then people have to want to know about your personal life.

"But at the same time, as much as it can be a bitch and a bit of a pain, a lot of fans feel they can connect with me as a person. It sort of breaks that barrier.

She added: "But then there's the bonuses if you get to go to these glamorous events and meet all these actors and singers that I've admired. And, of course, the freebies!"

Diana Vickers releases her new single 'The Boy Who Murdered Love' on July 19.

Diana Vickers agrees to publishing deal..
DIANA VICKERS has been celebrating after signing a fantastic new deal.
The chart-topping youngster got stuck into the Pimm's at her management firm Modest's summer party in London on Tuesday.

And I'd have done the same, if I'd just landed a quarter-of-a-million quid publishing agreement with Universal.

It's sterling work for Vickers and proves she can pen a mean tune.

Her ability to get attention for her looks remains just as impressive.

If she keeps knocking out more publicity shots like the one above, she'll be in the pop game for a while yet.
